Come as you are; leave as you want to become.

Meet Dr. Chandra Estefan

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

EMDR Therapist

AAMFT-Approved Supervisor

Florida Qualified Supervisor

It’s hard to recall a time when you didn’t feel overwhelmed by anxious feelings and thoughts. Even now, no matter what your partner, friends, or colleagues tell you, you still feel deeply that you are somehow not good enough, that it’s not okay to be you. You might even feel hopeless...wondering if you will ever get out of this spiral of emotions.

Wouldn’t it make a difference in your life if you felt differently?

If you are ready to make that change,

you’ve come to the right place.

I’m Dr. Chandra and I help people like you— people who want healing and emotional freedom, but need a bit of guidance to move forward. Working together, we will use a goal-oriented approach tailored to your specific needs so that you can build more confidence and find greater peace.

I practice an integrated mind-body-spirit-relationship approach to therapy, which means I will encourage you to examine how your beliefs about yourself impact the various aspects of your life. I will also support you in creating personalized take-home strategies and skills for healing that draw upon your individual strengths.

I am confident that our work together will leave you feeling more confident in who you have become and how you can direct your life.

emdr therapist in Miami for self esteem, trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and relationship issues

I'm dedicated to helping people become the best that they can be.

While my training in EMDR Therapy and my background in Marriage and Family Therapy will provide the expertise needed for our work together, I understand that you want to be sure that you are working with someone who “gets” what it means to struggle with self-worth.

I get it because I've lived it myself— as a daughter, woman, spouse, minority, and person of bicultural and bilingual background. I've also gained an understanding of the important role that self-esteem plays in developing a healthy relationship with oneself and with others through my work as a therapist, researcher, workshop leader, and counseling supervisor. When we work together, you can rest assured that you are working with someone who is not only a trained clinician, but also someone who really does “get it.”

To give you a feel for who I am, those who work with me often describe me as being very empathetic, warm, dedicated, and as having the soul of an artist. My clients also describe me as funny, insightful, and optimistic.

When I'm not in therapist mode, I'm exploring the world— mostly through its food— by watching shows like Somebody Feed Phil and Chef's Table. I may also be baking up a storm while watching The Great British Baking Show or listening to NPR's Tiny Desk concerts (good food and good music both feed the soul!). Short stories, foreign films, and short-legged dogs are also three of my favorite things in life.
